Aloe Vera Active Complex - P2

EXTRACTION PROCESS

The extraction process is unique and is based on an enzymatic fermentation of the plant before the aqueous extract of the Aloe vera is obtained.

Although the plant used for this extract is the same as all the other based Aloe vera products sold on the consumer market, the similarity stops there. This active complex is a new raw material and fundamentally different.

PATENTS

The product is internationally patented. Registration began in 1990 and last obtained was for the USA in March 1995.

PRODUCT

The Active Complex P2 has major therapeutic effects on hyperseborrhoea, but is also used in other formulations.

Some clinical tests have been conducted by dermatologists which proves the effectiveness of the active complex; they have been published in the " Journal de Medicine et de Chirurgie Dermatologie" (vol. XIX No.74, June 1994) and registered in the Pascal Index of the Scientific and Technic Data Institute (CRNS).

The therapeutic effects are as follows:

• Anti-inflammatory
• Moisturising
• Emollient
• Astringent
• Anti-seborrhoea
• cicatrising
• Skin burning soothing

The Active Complex P2 can be included in cosmetic and pharmaceutic from a concentration of 5 to 100%.

It can be used in the followed commercial products:

• Anti-seborrhoea shampoo
• Anti-dandruff shampoo
• Anti-seborrhoea and anti-acneic lotions (P2)
• Hair loss treatment (P8)
• Moisturising creams and lotions
• Sunscreens creams and lotions etc.

The above mentioned finished products demonstrate the large scope of applications targeted by the Active Complex P2 but the main effect remains on hyper-seborrhoea, for which only few relevant competition exists.

The active complex can be used during the very first step of production, and can stand a temperature of up to 80 deg. without any alteration.

In a formulation, the Aloe Vera Active Complex P2 can substitute demineralized water to a concentration from 5 to 77%.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON COSMECAL

With the discovery of the Active Complex Aloe Vera P2, COSMECAL LABORATORIES has developed his activities towards different objectives which are:

• to grow medicinal herbs
• to develop research programs on medicinal herbs
• to manufacture cosmetic and pharmaceutical products using the Active complex P2 as the active ingredient

The laboratory has three main functions:

1. Research and Development: Jointly with the Montpellier's University for Medicinal Herbs and Natural Substances - France , and currently with the Scientific Research Centre of the Overseas Territories (0RSTOM)
2. Treatment and epuration of the extracts obtained from the plants. The process has been fully automated and internally developed by Mr Isnard.
3. Manufacturing and Packaging of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, mainly from the Active complex P2.
